At La Vita Sana, we believe that quality healthcare is a right that should be accessible to all people. Although we are a cash-based practice, benefit recipients never pay more than 50% of the listed prices. *Provider will ask to see your benefit card to verify your eligibility. status.
Financially Limited Individuals Who Do Not Receive Benefits
At La Vita Sana, we recognize that sometimes individuals earn too much to qualify for assistance, yet still face financial challenges. Eligibility will be determined on a case-by-case basis for a reduction of the listed pricing.
Benefits of a Cash-Based Practice
**Direct pay, or self-pay, health practices benefit the clients!! This fiscal model allows us to spend more time focused on you and less time focused on metrics and optimizing daily patient intake.
Because La Vita Sana DOES NOT accept Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance, we do not have to comply with strict Federal Regulations, where politicians practice healthcare! We are more free to incorporate off-label medications as needed, and provide you with holistic practices that have existed for millennia.
As a direct pay practice, the client also benefits from increased privacy, because notes DO NOT have to be shared with third parties.
Your diagnoses will NOT become a part of your PERMANENT insurance records, which can be used in the future to deny you coverage.
Clients will benefit from shorter waiting periods for appointments because the practice does not need to see hundreds of patients to exist. Typical wait times for conventional specialists are 3-6 months for a new patient appointment. We can see you the next business day, to within a week of you contacting us.
Lastly, clients will know exactly how much they will be paying prior to their appointments. They don't have to pay a copayment and wait to see if their insurance left a balance, which they are responsible for paying.
Conventional laboratory testing can be covered by your insurance, leaving you to pay only for specific functional medicine tests that the provider and client will both agree upon. Unlike other practices, we don't charge you just to order the labs that you pay for with your insurance.
Lastly, you will not be required to purchase a specific brand of vitamins or supplements from us, unlike other practices. We will gladly review the supplements you are already using to determine their effectiveness. La Vita Sana will soon post a link where clients can purchase recommended vitamins and supplements, but this is optional. Amazon and Costco are your friends!
